Logical Projects Inc. started in 2007 to market the skills of Randy Janzen, an Electronics Technologist, with 24 years' experience in electronic controls and instrumentation for the oilwell service equipment manufacturing industry. Working alongside skilled team members, Randy has been able to solve a broad range of control and instrumentation issues. Delivering these solutions has taken Randy to the UK, China, Africa and the Middle East.
In 1999, with vendor training, Randy added PLC programming to his repertoire, and has developed, or led development of numerous oilfield equipment designs for Canada and globally.

Along the way, Randy has built relationships with clients, as a subcontractor, on large and small projects, and, in other cases, worked directly for clients needing help on internal project.

Personal Achievements

  • 1992-2004 Developed and manufactured the U-1 Universal Meter instrumentation line at Rebound Rig International, now part of National Oilwell/Varc o (NOV)
  • 2000 - Today Developed and manufactured the SG-Series of heavy duty, stepper motor base, analog/digital gauges, including design updates since leaving NOV
  • 2002 - developed electronics and PLC package for a self-propelled Coiled Tubing Drilling rig
  • 2016-2020 Created panel drawings and programmed HVAC system for Ontario Power Generation
  • 2016-2019 Support pipeline coating factory, including re-programming the internal coating line
  • 2015 Re wrote the anti-collision logic for an offshore drilling rig
